QUINNIE C. FERGUSON, 77, of Steubenville, OH, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2006 in the emergency room of Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville. She was a retired nurse's aid of over 20 years at Ohio Valley Hospital, Steubenville. She was a member of the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, a member and Past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star, Labelle Chapter #414, Steubenville, for whom she had served as an advisor of the Rainbow Girls, a member of the Social Order of Beauceant, and she had been an active worker for the Edison Band Boosters.
Quinnie was born in Weirton, WV, November 25, 1928, a daughter of the late Caris Calvin and Wilma Cooper Campbell. She is also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Emmett Ray Campbell and twin infant brothers and a son-in-law, Joe DiSimone. She is survived by her husband, Clarence W. "Tooty" Ferguson whom she married September 3, 1947; by 4 sons, Fredrick Paul (Janet) Ferguson, Wintersville, Thomas Wilmer (Bobbie) Ferguson, Bellaire, Emmett Ray (Leslie) Ferguson, Steubenville and Earl Franklin (Sandy) Ferguson, Rayland; by a daughter, Quinnie Colleen DiSimone, Hayesville, NC and a sister, Osa Lucas, Lawrenceville, WV, by 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond Wednesday from 7-9 PM and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday with the Reverend Jeff Proya officiating.
