Ralph Junior Blackburn, 83, of Richmond, Ohio passed away May 21, 2012 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville

He was born February 8, 1929, in Richmond a son of the late Ralph J. and Ida Mae (Dulaney) Blackburn.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Erma Jean "Jo" (Palmer) Blackburn.

Ralph served his country in the United States Navy as a Gunner's Mate Third Class.

He was a member of the Richmond United Methodist Church and the Richmond American Legion Honored 7 Post 720.

Ralph is survived by his son, Thomas (Ruth Ann) Blackburn of Richmond; daughter, Jennifer (Rob) Webber of Bloomingdale; two grandchildren, Ashley and Blake Webber; brothers, Paul (Gwen) Blackburn of Richmond and Robert (Sandy) of Richmond; and sisters, Ruth (Charles) Campbell of Steubenville and Alice (John) Hyde of Kentucky.

Friends will be received on Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Everhart-Bove Funeral home, 110 West Main St., Richmond. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at the Richmond United Methodist Church on Sugar St. in Richmond.

Burial will follow at Richmond Union Cemetery with the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
