He was born August 16, 1924 in Toronto, OH, a son of the late George C. and Eva (Williamson) Eger.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Philip and George Eger; and sisters, Mildred McCaulley , Elizabeth Jean McMasters, and Geraldine Oliver.

Ralph retired from Weirton Steel as a coal hoist operator. During WWII he worked in Weirton making shell casing.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Genevieve (Henderson) Eger; son, Robert E. Eger of East Springfield; daughters, D eborah (Yiwen) Liu of Hilliard, OH and Beverly Eger of East Springfield; sister, Doris Thomas of Toronto, OH; and grandchildren, Mary Liu Sampson, Amanda Liu, and Lianne Liu.

Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St., Richmond where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM.
