Ralph W. Taylor Sr., 84, of Steubenville , Ohio went to be with Our Lord on Sunday December 11, 2011 .

He was born in St. Marys , West Virginia on October 7, 1927 , a son of the late George and Viola Taylor. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou (Pierson) Taylor; daughter, Joyce Ann Taylor; four brothers, Junior, Norman, Clinton, and Arthur Taylor; one sister, Loretta (Barnhart) Taylor; grandson, Lenny J. Taylor; and daughter-in-law, Linda (McElwain) Taylor.

Ralph was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church .

Ralph is survived by 8 children, three daughters, Betty Eileen (Roy Sr.) Arbogast of East Springfield, Nancy K. (Richard) Najar of Phoenix, Arizona, and Patricia Sue Taylor of Steubenville; five sons, Robert (Pam) Taylor of Richmond, Jerry L. (Trish) Taylor of Steubenville, Ronald L. Taylor of Toronto, Ralph W. Jr. (Patricia) Taylor of Steubenville, and Timothy James (Michelle) Taylor of Toronto; many-many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; aunt Pearl Schays (Malone) of Mingo; five sisters, Angeline (Gorby) Taylor formerly of Littleton West Virginia, Pauline (Marino) Taylor of Maryland, Shirley Smith of Irondale, Mildred Dailey of Richmond, and Deloris Lease of Wintersville; two brothers, Harold Taylor of Wintersville and James Taylor of Richmond.

Friends will be received at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 2305 State Route 213, Steubenville on Wednesday from 3-8 PM and on Thursday from 11 AM until time of funeral services at 1 PM with Pastor Garland Wilkerson officiating.

Burial will follow at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates.
