Ralph J. Wise, 88, who was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away in the company of his family on December 14, 2022. He was born on January 28, 1934, in Decatur, Illinois, to the late Daniel and Hattie (Pianka) Wise. In addition to his parents, Ralph is preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret Wise; his brothers, Ronald "Bus" Wise and Daniel Wise; his son-in-law, Mark Kevin Kotouch; and his daughter-in-law, Teresa Wise.

Ralph was an active member at the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church where he loved volunteering his time. Ralph was an avid hunter and fisherman, along with being his grandchildren's biggest fan during their sporting events. He enjoyed going skiing with his family and friends and hunting with his buddies from West Union, WV. He was considered the neighborhood dad who never knew a stranger.

He is survived by his children, Mary Ellen Kotouch, Jeff Wise, Linda (Rob) Wise-Cooper, and Tim (Stacey) Wise; his brothers, Gene (Linda) Wise and Duane (Janet) Wise; his grandchildren, Lindsay, Ashley, Zachary, Emily, Sarah, Ryan, Rachel, and Tyler; his sister-in-law, Marion Wise; and his dear family friend, Richard "Chucka" Freshwater.

Friends will be received at the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, 3419 OH-213, Steubenville, OH, on Saturday, December 17, 2022, from 11 A.M. until time of services at 1 P.M. with Rev. Ryan Cockrill and Rev. Bill Hibbs officiating. Burial will follow at Center Chapel Cemetery.
