Raymond Eugene Turk, 69, of Steubenville, OH, passed away peacefully August 20, 2015 at his home.

He was born August 3, 1946 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late William Andrew and Eleanor Viola (Gillespie) Turk.

He was a 1964 graduate of CCHS. He served in the United States Navy for 3 years. He worked for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel for over 30 years.

Ray was a sports lover. He was a life-long supporter of Notre Dame, The Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Pens.

His family and friends will miss his extraordinary ability to tell a story and change a room for the better when he entered.

He was a little league coach for many years, an avid fisherman, and he never met a dog he didn't like.

Raymond is survived by his son, David Andrew (Becky) Turk of Marysville; daughter, Kristina Rae (Derek Blake) Turk of Steubenville, OH; grandchildren, Hayden, Ethan, and Grant; brothers, Michael (Sandi) Turk of Denton, TX, David J. (Pam) Turk of Seaford, VA, Steven Turk of Boise, Idaho, and Samuel (Paula) Turk of Santee, CA; numerous nieces and nephews.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home.
