Richard Leo Stanley, 65 of Amsterdam, Ohio passed away December 21, 2017 at Sienna Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wintersville.

He was born April 15, 1952 in Steubenville, Ohio a son of the late Reginald and Lola (Baughman) Stanley.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Lois (Stanley) Dunlevy and his niece, Tammy (Dunlevy) McGaughey.

Richard was an avid gardener and had a deep love for nature and the outdoors. He graduated with honors from Ohio State Technical Institute receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture.

He will be deeply missed by his brother-in-law, Brady Dunlevy, Sr. and his many nieces and nephews including Debbie, Larry, Haley and Payton Bielawski; Brady, Savannah, Brady III, Skyler and Lois Ann Dunlevy; Tyler and Tiffany McGaughey. He will forever be remembered as the world's coolest Uncle.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond, Ohio on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 6:30 p.m. until time of memorial service at 7:30 p.m.
