Robert "Shorty" Dorsey, 66, of Unionport, OH passed away February 20, 2014 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born October 24, 1947 in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late William Craig and Thelma (Merryman) Dorsey.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, James Dorsey and sister, Jean Glowatz.

Robert served his country in the United States Army stationed in Korea.

He was a member at Unionport Methodist Church. He worked in Wheeling-Pitt Steel as a millwright.

Robert is survived by his wife, Charlotte (Cline) Dorsey of Unionport, OH; son, Brad Dorsey of Unionport, OH; daughter, Kristen (Scott) Medley of Richmond, OH; brother, Thomas (Nancy) Dorsey of Wintersville; and grandchildren, Brayden Medley, Kameron, and Kiersten Dorsey.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 4-7 PM at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Hubert Granger and Pastor Jeff Greco officiating.

Burial will follow at Unionport Cemetery.
