IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert "Bob"
Lee Blackburn
November 19, 1943 – April 11, 2020
Robert Lee "Bob" Blackburn 76, of Richmond, Ohio passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Trinity West, Steubenville.
Bob was a proud Veteran of the US Army. He retired with 37 years from NNS railroad and was a member of Wintersville Baptist Temple.
He was born November 19, 1943 in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of the late Ralph J. and Ida Mae (Delaney) Blackburn. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Paul Blackburn; brother-in-law, Charles Campbell.
Bob is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sandy (Warren) Blackburn; son, Todd Blackburn; daughter, Babette Blackburn; sisters, Ruth Campbell and Alice (John) Hyde and many nieces and nephews. Close friends including Steve "Butchie Boy" Kleiner, Gene Brown, Danny Vojvodich, Gary Moffat and many others.
He enjoyed gardening and riding his golf cart with Cuddles (his dog) around Richmond visiting with friends and family. He could always be counted on for weather updates and random funny comments like, "It will feel better when it quits hurting", or answering the phone with "Blackburn Pool Hall, 8 ball speaking!". You never knew he might say or do, he kept everyone on their toes.
Private services and burial will take place at Fort Steuben Burial Estates. Send condolences online at www.everhart-bovefuneralhomes.com
