Roy Junior McDannels, 90, of Bloomingdale , OH , passed away peacefully at Valley Hospice on December 25, 2013 .

He was born on January 7, 1923 in Beverly , WV a son of the late James and Violia (Gibson) McDannels.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Tucker Gibson, Ray and Jim McDannels; sisters, Ruth Bolton, Jane; daughter-in-law, Sue McDannels; and son-in-law, Nevin L. Miser, Sr.

Roy served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He retired from Weirton Steel as a pipe fitter.

He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen (Louk) McDannels; son, Thomas Paul McDannels of New Philadelphia, OH; daughters, Shirley Miser of Bloomingdale, and Margaret (David) Cline of Bloomingdale; grandchildren, Brian, Jeff, Leslie, Lee, Roy, and Lisa; 13 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; sister, Ruby; brother, Robert; and nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St. , Richmond on Friday from 3-8 PM and again on Saturday from 11 AM until time of funeral services at 1:00 PM Saturday with the Reverend David Rosenberger and Pastor Tom Snodgrass officiating.

Burial will follow with Military Honors at East Springfield Cemetery .
