RUBY V. ECHOLS, 74, of Amsterdam, OH, passed away Sunday morning, October 30, 2005 in the Carroll Health Care Center, Carrollton following a lengthy illness. She retired in 1985 from the Scio Pottery Co., Scio where she had worked as a finisher. She was a member of the Pine Grove United Methodist Church. Ruby was an avid bingo player. She was born May 6, 1931 in Steubenville, OH. She is preceded in death by her mother, Delta May Crislip, her husband, Bert L. Echols who died May 5, 1994, and two daughters, Roberta Beadnell, July 7, 1974 and Jane Ohler, February 21, 2002. She is survived by 2 sons: Albert (Sandy) Echols, Powhatten Point, OH and Patrick (Judy) Echols, Carrollton, by 4 daughters, Jean (Warner) Mills, Bergholz, Eva (Randy) Yeager, Belpre, OH, Josephine (Jeff) Sommers, Prattsville, Alabama, and Sandra (Todd) Harringan, Baskin Ridge, NJ; by a son-in-law, Donald Ohler, Amsterdam, a brother, David Watson, California; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 285 Second St., Bergholz Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM where a Celebration of Life Service will be held for Ruby on Wednesday at 11 AM.
