Ruby Sloan, 80, of Steubenville, OH, passed away May 19, 2015 at Sienna Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Inc.

She was born April 15, 1935 in East Springfield, OH, a daughter of the late James W. Sloan, Sr. and Ada Mae (Spicer) Sloan.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, James W. Sloan, Jr.; sisters, Wanitta Monroe and Lavarne Leasure.

Ruby is survived by her brother, John (Mary) Sloan of Steubenville; sister, Kathryn Marr of Dayton; close friend, Jenny Spitler and her daughter Jenna Spitler both of Toronto, OH; and her dog, Keyla.

Friends will be received on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.

A memorial service will be held next Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Voice of Pentecost, 106 Mendenhall St., Weirton, WV 26062 with Robert Wood officiating.
