Ruth I. Hanlin 78 of Richmond, Ohio passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Valley Hospice Care Center, Steubenville. She enjoyed her grandchildren, cooking, working jigsaw puzzles, thrift shopping and garage sales.

Ruth was born May 23, 1941 in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Wilbur and Alice (Rickenbaugh) Harris. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Hanlin; two sons, Scott Hill and Gary Hanlin; three brothers, Charles Robert Harris, Chester Wayne Harris, Richard Harris.

She is survived by three daughters, Sharon (Keith) Pool, Brenda (Randy) Byron, Jeanne (Mike) Baker; son, Randy (Jeanne) Hanlin; sister, Dorothy Willis; grandchildren, Kim (Jeremy Yeager) McVicker, Julie (Josh) Morckel, Jordan (Abby) Hanlin, Jesse Byron, Cody Hanlin, and Mackenzie Baker; eight great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Monday from 3-7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Fort Steuben Burial Estates. View obituary online at www.everhart-bovefuneralhomes.com
