Ruth E. Roof 70, of Amsterdam, Ohio passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at her home. She was born April 10, 1950 in Marianna, PA, a daughter of the late George and Mildred (Lightcap) Chase. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Ed Chase.  Ruth loved making crafts and her flower beds.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Ronald Roof; children, Mary (Larry) Diekmann, Ed Chase, Millie Kelley, Georgene (Dave) Marcus and Pedro (Bobbie) Ortiz; brother, Charles Chase; sister, Shirley Matheson; 20 grandchildren; and, many great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove funeral home, 285 Second St., Bergholz, on Friday from 11-1PM and 3PM until time of services at 5PM.
