RUTH V. SCOTT, 92, of Richmond, OH, passed away in her home on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 of natural causes. She was born in Richmond September 25, 1917, a daughter of the late John M. and Carrie (Dodds) Swickard. She is preceded in death by her husband, Homer C. Scott whom she married August 16, 1937 and who died March 23, 1995 and by two brothers, Donald and Russell Swickard. She was a member of the Richmond United Methodist Church where she had been a Sunday school teacher for over 30 years. She is survived by her son, David H. Scott and wife Nikki of Toronto, OH, 2 grandsons, Jonathan Scott and wife Rachel of Steubenville, Jay Scott and wife Vase` of Massillon, OH and a granddaughter, Kerri Scott of Toronto and 2 great-grandchildren, Sara and Nicholas Scott. Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond on Saturday from 11 AM until time of funeral services at 1 PM with the Reverend Carol Smith officiating.
