SAUNDRA K. BARRETT, 74, of Wintersville, OH, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the Trinity Medical Center West Emergency Room following a sudden illness. She was born in Steubenville, December 18, 1935, a daughter of the late LeRoy and Bessie Smallwood Brainard. She was a homemaker and an X-Ray Technician who began her career at the old Gill Hospital then went to the old Ohio Valley Hospital followed by the old St. John's Hospital. She retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel as the X-Ray Technician in the Dispensary. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ross E. Barrett whom she married August 2, 1958, by a son Bruce (Susan) Barrett of Wintersville and grandsons, Ryan and Bryce Barrett. She is a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church on Lover's Lane and of the ECW and choir at the church. She is a member of the Radiological Technician's Association. Saundra was an avid sports enthusiast, especially Indian Creek, Steelers and Ohio State. Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Monday from 3 - 5 PM and 7:30 - 9 PM. Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.
