Sharon Jean Carroll

Sharon Jean Carroll, 79, of Bloomingdale, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2026. She was born on June 2, 1947, in Steubenville, Ohio, to the late David (Ernie) and Donna (Griffith) Taylor.

Sharon was a member of the Steubenville Saddle Club, the Jefferson County OHC, the American Quarter Horse Association, Eastern Ohio Quarter Horse Association, Buckeye Trail Riders, and the Free Spirits 4-H Club.

Sharon loved cooking and taking care of others. She always had a seat at her table for family, friends, and even strangers. She enjoyed playing cards with the ladies at the Bergholz Card Club and going on vacations every year with her Springfield Class of ’65 ladies. Sharon was happiest at the beach, camping, playing cards, spending time with family, boating, or sitting by the campfire.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, William (Bob) Carroll; her children, Brian (Sharon) Carroll, Bill (Dani) Carroll, and Barbara (Todd) Mazzaferro; her brother, David (Jo Ellen) Taylor; her grandchildren, Brandon (Kate) Carroll, Blake (Allie) Carroll, Brooke Carroll, Elizabeth (Pete) Gaffney, Andrew (Pacie) Carroll, Taylor (Dalton) Callihan, Sarah (Fiancé Brandon) Mazzaferro; and her great grandchildren; Michael, Thomas, Ensley, Parker, Hazley, Hudson, Brooks, and Mazie; and her many nieces and nephews.

In honor of Sharon’s wishes, there will be no services held.
