Stanley D. Kavanagh, Sr., 75, of Wintersville, OH, passed away June 16, 2017 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.

He was born October 22, 1941 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late John Leo and Elizabeth Jean (Polcyn) Kavanagh.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Kavanagh.

Stanley served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post 557 for 37 years.

He was a crane operator for Compass Transportation.

Stanley is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty R. Kavanagh; children, Debbie Kavanagh, Kim (Robert) Miser, and Stanley D. (Amy) Kavanagh, Jr.; grandchildren, Tracey (Craig) Chapman, Tera Bradley, Heather Cholewinski, Tommy Bradley, Cortney Kavanagh; and great grandson, Brayden Chapman.

Per Stanley's wishes there will be no services.
