Stephen "Steve" Ray Humble, 70, of Richmond, OH passed away February 11, 2016 at Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville.

He was born September 6, 1945 in Richmond, OH, a son of the late William Wallace Humble and Helen (Fisher) Ferguson.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Lafe Ferguson; sister, Alonna Polen, and nephew, Kevin Humble.

He served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam.

Steve was an investigator for the Jefferson County Sheriff Department.

He is survived by his brother, William "Bill" (Rosemary) Humble of Bonita Springs, Florida; sister, Tammy (Pete) Peveich of Wintersville, OH; brother-in-law, Bill Polen of Richmond, OH; nephews and nieces.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Saturday from 10 AM until time of funeral services at 12 Noon.

Private burial will be held at Richmond Union Cemetery.
