Thelma Sutton Grimm, 87, of East Springfield, Ohio passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2009 in Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, following a short illness. She was born on August 8, 1921 in Bacon Ridge, Ross Township, Ohio, a daughter of the late Harry and Blanche Hill Ochsendorf. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two husbands, Robert W. Sutton on Aug. 28, 1954 and Charles B. Grimm on Jan. 7, 1978; a son, Charles R. Sutton; a grandson, Andy Paul Slater, a brother Merle Ochsendorf. Thelma was retired from the Edison Local School District. She was a member of the East Springfield Christ United Methodist Church, where she served with the Women's Fellowship of the Church. She also was a member of East Springfield Senior Citizens and Amsterdam Women's Club. Thelma is survived by a son, Walter (Cheryl) Sutton of Irondale; three daughters, Carolyn Milhoan of Irondale, OH, Judy (John) Slater of Toronto, OH, and Mildred (Robert) Hyndman of Bloomingdale, OH; a sister, Elsie Congrove of Akron, OH, thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond on Friday from 4-8 PM where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 AM with the Reverend James Stafford officiating.
