Thomas "Tom" Edwin Beany, 89, of Wintersville, Ohio, passed away on October 19, 2025. He was born on February 18, 1936, in Steubenville, Ohio, to the late Russell and Lenora (Somerville) Beany. In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his son, Mark Beany; and his sister, Kathy Castle.

He was a skilled carpenter who retired from Weirton Steel. A man of deep faith, his favorite hymn was How Great Thou Art. He cherished his family and found great joy in woodworking, often crafting furniture and other projects with care and dedication.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Claire (Bush) Beany; his children, Cynthia (Geoff) Jurica of North Canton, Ohio, Lori (Jeff) Johnson of Kent, Ohio, and Jeffrey Beany of Wintersville, Ohio; his 9 grandchildren; his 15 great grandchildren; his sisters, Judy Lucas and Dorothy Hilton; and his daughter-in-law, Dee Beany.

In honor of Tom's wishes, there will be no services held.
