Obituary

HAROLD "TOM" GUMP, 80, of Wintersville, OH, died Saturday, January 21, 2006 in the Merritt Manor Home, Toronto, following a lingering illness. He was a carpenter at Weirton Steel until his retirement in 1987 and a US Army veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Wintersville American Legion #557. He was born in Steubenville, OH, February 10, 1925. He is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Mary Gump, his wife, Rayleen E. (Hafer) Gump who died in 1990, and by a brother. He is survived by a son, Erin "Chip" (Debra) Gump, Wintersville, and a daughter, Donna A. (Tim) Morris, Mingo Jct, OH, by 7 grandchildren, Andrea Spencer, Shaun Strupe, Max Gump, Amber Gump, Brandy Gump, Chesie Gump and Timothy Morris and by one great-grandson, Ronald Spring. Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM where funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday with Pastor Micah Ramsey. Burial will follow in Ft. Steuben Burial Estates with military honors by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad. Condolences may be sent online at www.everhartfuneralhomes.com.
