Toni Madden 52 of Steubenville, Ohio passed away Friday February 25th, 2022 at Trinity Medical Center West with her family by her side. She was born May 19th, 1969 in Steubenville, Ohio the daughter of Betty Lue (Lelless) Nicosia and the late Anthony (Tony) Nicosia.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband Martin Madden, daughter Meghan Madden, and two sons Anthony (Joey) Madden and Angelo Madden, brother Frank (Joi Lynn) Nicosia.
Toni was a very active mom while her children were in school becoming a member of the Dible Elementary PTA, then assuming the role of Vice President and eventually President. She also was a founding member of the Penn Hills Advocates for Special Education (PHASE) meeting with local and state elected officials to better the educational opportunities for all children.
The kitchen was the heart of her home, and many loving memories were made with family and friends over the years. Toni was always looking out for others and had a special place in her heart for all children and worked tirelessly on the Easter Egg Hunt for the children in Wintersville. She also donated her time to other charitable organizations to make sure all kids had gifts under the tree at Christmas time, a coat or shoes for school, or an Easter basket.
Toni was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She was the Family Service Advisor at Fort Steuben Burial Estates. Toni played a key part in helping her husband start the Martoni's Fire Baked Pizza mobile food truck and was looking forward to opening their restaurant on 4th Street in Steubenville.
Friends will be received at Everhart-Bove Funeral Home 685 Canton Rd, Wintersville on Wednesday March 2nd from 4 to7 PM. Funeral Liturgy with mass will take place at 10:00 AM Thursday morning March 3rd at St. Peter Catholic Church, 425 North 4th Street, Steubenville. Private entombment at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
