Obituary

TRAVIS D. YEATER, 85, of Weirton, WV, formerly of Richmond, OH, passed away Sunday, September 03, 2006 in Brightwood Nursing Center, Follansbee, WV following a lengthy illness. He was an operator at the cinder plant at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel retiring in 1983, a US Army veteran of WWII a member of the Colliers Church of God where he had been on the church board. He was born June 20, 1921 in Ashley, WV, a son of the late Bryan and Nellie Edith (Webb) Yeater. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae (Davis) Yeater who died June 9, 2002, and by 2 brothers, Darrell and Keifer Yeater. He is survived by his son, Lester D. Yeater, Steubenville, a daughter, Charlotte Yeater of Richmond, 2 grandchildren, Holly and Mary, a brother, Denny (Shirley) Yeater, Weirton, WV and a sister, Lexie (Conward "Bud") Hammond, Sardis, WV. Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday with Pastor Dr. John Westling officiating.
