Vera Jean Palmer, 81, of Bergholz , OH , passed away December 24, 2014 at Trinity Medical Center West.

She was born February 15, 1933 in Fox Twp, Carroll County , OH , a daughter of the late Howard M. and Lena (Dorrance) Johnston.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband; Edwin L. Palmer; infant daughter, Janet Lynn; brothers, Wilfred "Bud" Johnston and Clifford Johnston; and sisters, Louise Marshall and Marjorie Hemming.

Vera was a member of the Trinity United Presbyterian Church, Bergholz where she was a former Sunday school Treasurer for 22 years, a former trustee, a session member, and on the Christian Education Committee. Vera was also a member of the Trinity Women's Association where she was past president.

She was a member of the Bergholz Senior Citizen.

She is survived by her son, Edwin L. Palmer, Jr. of Bergholz , OH ; daughter, Susan (Rev. Larry) Hukill of East Liverpool, OH; grandchildren, Becky Hukill of Swissvale, PA, and Katie Hukill of Weirton, WV and her fiancé Ryan Herron.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 1-5 PM at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 285 Second St. , Bergholz where funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Alan Jeffries officiating.

Burial will follow at Bergholz Cemetery .

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Presbyterian Church, Second St. , Bergholz , OH .
