Vincent S. Spear, 75, of Wintersville, OH, passed away June 7, 2016 at Sienna Skilled Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born April 25, 1941 in Colliers, WV, a son of the late Vincent A. and Grace D. (Ely) Spear.

Vincent served his country in the United States Navy where he retired after 21 years of service. He then went to work for the United States Treasury from which he retired 20 years later. After he retired Vincent returned to the Valley where he resided in Wintersville for the past 13 years. His family will remember him with pride and miss him greatly.

Vincent is survived by his sons, Rick Vincent Spear and Jeff Spear; daughter, Gretchen Spear; grandchildren, Danny, Kaila, Caroline, Ryan, Kyle, and Ricky; great granddaughter, Naevia Spear; sister, Kathryn Alvey; and nephew, James "Muggs" Alvey.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Friday from 6-8 PM.

Private services and burial will be held on Saturday.
