Martha Virginia Hemshrodt, 91, of Richmond , OH , passed away December 18, 2014 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville .

She was born June 26, 1923 , in Richmond , Ohio , a daughter of the late James Newton and Mary Lucinda (Orwick) Mc Causland.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Lorn R. Hemshrodt; her son, David Bruce Hemshrodt; grandchildren, Louis, Roberta, and Roxanne; and sisters, Eileen Reynolds and Sara Lindamood.

Virginia retired from Ohio State Park service ( Jefferson Lake ). She was a member of the Richmond United Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her sons, Louis "Butch" and wife, Barbara (Gibbons) Hemshrodt of East Springfield, Ohio and William and wife, Glenna (Swickard) Hemshrodt of Clear Spring, Maryland; daughter-in-law, Deborah (Mc Elwain) Hemshrodt of Richmond, Ohio; 7 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Monday from 5-8 PM at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St. , Richmond where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM with Richard Cunningham officiating.

Burial will follow at Richmond Presbyterian Cemetery .
