Virginia L. Mills, 93, of Steubenville , Ohio passed away March 9, 2012 at Trinity East Long Term Care.

She was born January 30, 1919 in Portsmouth , Virginia , a daughter of the late Harrison and Ruth (Elzey) Lassiter. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willard R. Mills; brothers, Harrison Jr. and Arthur Lassiter; and sister, Ruth Miller.

Virginia was a member at Covenant Presbyterian Church, Steubenville Women's Club, Eastern Star, Labelle Chapter # 414, and Ladies Shriners.

She is survived by her son, Willard (Kathy) Mills of Wintersville; daughter, Peggy (Chuck) Stout of Pittsburgh, PA; sister, Doris Lilley of Chesapeake, VA; grandchildren, Lisa (Steve) Jolly, Tiffany (Joe) Pierro, Bryan Mills, Jennifer (Todd) Blackburn, Kristen Mills, Monica (Matt) Doyle, Derreck Stout, and Amanda (Stew) McFall; and great-grandchildren, Jessica and Matthew Jolly, Michael and Mia Pierro, Cooper and Nolan Blackburn, Dugan Mills, and Allie and Katelynn Doyle.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd. , Wintersville on Monday from 11 AM until time of funeral services at 1 PM with the Reverend Jason Elliott officiating.

Interment will be at Union Cemetery , Steubenville .
