Obituary

VIRGINIA G. RENSI, 86, of Hopedale, Ohio, passed away Saturday, May 08, 2010 at the Carriage Inn of Steubenville. She was born in Steubenville, Ohio August 6, 1923, a daughter of the late Edward M. and Jessie Hatfield Gill. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest H. Rensi whom she married July 10, 1943 and who died August 1, 1989; by an infant son, James M. Rensi and a foster-son, Ralph J. Hennis; and a brother, Joseph M. Gill. Virginia and her late husband along with her family, owned and operated the Alameda Inn of Hopedale until its closing in 1999. She was a long time employee of Trisco in Cadiz. She most recently was a member of the Wintersville Church of Christ. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ Women's Fellowship. Other memberships were the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Cadiz, a 25 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Unionport Chapter and was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Hopedale. She leaves two sons, Edward H. (Anne) Rensi of Downers Grove, IL, and Sam (Barbara) Rensi of Greensboro, NC, a daughter, Jo Sana (Jim) Maul of Wintersville, a brother, Edward F. Gill of Wintersville, grandchildren: Marcy (Bob) Davis, Stephanie (Billy) Johnson, Angela Rensi, Steven E. Rensi, Larry (Erika) Dennison, Ernest Joseph Dennison, and great-grandchildren: Joshua Pennings, Kylea, Jessie and Sara Davis, Taylor Samuel Johnson and Leigha and Elaina Dennison. Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd, Wintersville Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM where funeral services will be held at 10 AM Monday with Pastor Imre Gulyas officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Hopedale. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wintersville Church of Christ, 316 Two Ridge Rd., Wintersville, OH 43953 or to the Ernest H.
