Wendell Eugene Brown of Richmond, OH, formerly of Rush Run, passed away July 1, 2024. He was born on March 24, 1951, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, to the late Wendell and Mable (McKelvey) Brown. In addition to his parents, Eugene is preceded in death by his sisters, Sandy Brown and Vicky Brown (Dan Smith), and brother Paul Skaggs; a nephew, Jack Wells and a niece Amanda Skaggs.

Eugene served 6 years in the U.S. Navy and Naval Reserves. He was a past council member for the Village of Richmond, and a member of the Historical Society and the Mingo and Pine Valley Sportsman's Club. He was also a member at the Richmond Methodist Church where he enjoyed his daily Prime Time gatherings and loved to go camping at Austin Lake. He retired from Wheeling and Lake Erie Railroad.

He is survived by his loving wife, Norma (Talamine) Brown; his daughters, Angela (Mark) Wilson, Tracy Zimish, Becky (Tim) Colicchio, and Brittany Starkey; his sons, Jason Brown and Todd (Kathy) Zimish; brothers, Bob (Irene) Skaggs, Ricky (Carolyn) Brown, and Randy (Sally) Brown; nine grandchildren; four great grandsons;  several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and his loyal buddy, Rags.

Friends will be received for a memorial service at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd, Wintersville, Ohio, on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 11 A.M. with Pastor Tom Scott officiating.
