William "Billy" Robert Gump

William “Billy” Robert Gump, 69, of Wintersville, Ohio, passed away at the VA Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, on March 3, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Billy is preceded in death by his father, Robert “Pie” and Isabel (Dickie) Gump of Richmond, Ohio; and a great grandson, Roman Denson of North Carolina.

Surviving with many memories is his wife, Leona of 38 years; his sister, Deborah Gump; his son, Dusty (Beth) Gump of Stratton, OH; son, Matthew (Trisha) Pluckhorn of Holly Springs, NC; daughter, Stephanie Deki of Wintersville, OH; daughter, Shawn Smith of Holly Springs, NC; and son, Mark (Amy) Pluckhorn of Angier, NC. He had 13 grandkids - Nichole, Austin, Abdul, Elizabeth, Analicia, Eric, Emily, Vivian, Aziah, Emerson, Zachary, Geralyn, and Alayna. He had 4 great grandchildren - Alaric, Dabria, Luanna, and Scarlett. And 1 grandpup, Roman.

Billy spent 4 years of service in the Army. He traveled with Gambill Amusements for 5 years. Ended his work career with Fraley & Schilling as a truck driver. He loved and was proud spending time giving back to his community through fire fighting and EMT at Belvedere Volunteer Fire Department. He did Upwards and volunteered a lot at Crossroads Christian Church where he was an active member up until going to the hospital.

There will be a memorial service held on April 18, 2026, at 2 P.M. at the Belvedere Fire Department.
