WILMA J. ALLENDER, 76, of Bergholz, OH, passed away peacefully in her home Thursday, February 19, 2015.

She was born at Broadacre, Jefferson County, Ohio November 19, 1938, a daughter of the late Homer and Isabella Irene Householder Spicer.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Keith Spicer and Herschel Baker and a sister, Rachel Cramblett.

She was a homemaker and a gardener and enjoyed the company of her dogs and cooking for her family.She was a member of the Chestnut Ridge United Methodist Church and at one time had worked at the SSandE Laundry in Carrollton.

Wilma is survived by her husband, James W. Allender, two sons, James L. (Andrea) Allender and Jeffery "Todd" (Frances) Allender, both of Bergholz, a daughter, Barbara (Don) Riley of Minerva, OH; two brothers, Kenneth Spicer of Harlem Springs, OH and Harvey Lee (Lori) Baker of Scio, OH; three sisters, Bernice (Bill) Bonar and Alice Baker, both of Bergholz and Donna (James) Armstrong of Florida and 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 285 Second St., Bergholz on Sunday from 3 untill 7 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11 AM with the Reverend Mark Thomas officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bergholz Cemetery.
