Anna Rebecca Lash, Reeder, Vein, 91, of Richmond, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 18, 2023 at Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, West Virginia. She was known as “Becky” by her family and friends.
Anna was born March 28, 1932 in Reed’s Mill, Ohio; the daughter of George and Ruth (Zook) Lash.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sister Ruthie Lash, brothers Rev. Delbert Lash, Lester Lash, Russell Lash, John Lash, and son-in-law, John Randall Mullen, Sr.
Anna is survived by her son, Gary (Linda) Reeder, of Commercial Point, Ohio; daughter, Sharon Stenger, of New Philadelphia, Ohio; daughter, Paula (Randy) Mullen, of Carrollton, Ohio; son, Eli Vein Jr., of Richmond, Ohio; daughter, Jane (Brian) Gambos, of Richmond, Ohio; son, Rodney (Patty) Vein, of Richmond, Ohio. She is also survived by her sister, Jane (Lash) Green of Wintersville, Ohio; and brothers, George Lash of Richmond, Ohio, Warren Lash of Wintersville, Ohio, Rodney (Carolyn) of Moundsville, West Virginia. She also leaves 20 grandchildren: Samuel Stenger, Rebecca (Jon) Burky, Laura Mullen, Shalaine Stenger, Rex (Julie) Reeder, Melody Mullen, Michael (Krissie) Reeder, John Randall (Tracy) Mullen Jr., Aaron Gambos, Shelly (Joe) Slark, (the late) Sam Smoot, Amy (David) Sanborn, Nicole Wherry Vein, Kyla (Frank) Koch, Lisa (Travis) Wade, Derek (Jessica) Wargo, Wade Gambos, Mason (Alexis) Gambos, Sierra (Nickolas) Trombetti, Andrea Vein and 33 great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren.
Anna was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Wintersville, Ohio and was very active in the church community throughout her life. Her ministries included music, teaching Sunday School and Bible School. She spent her life helping others. She was retired from Lauttamus Communications where she worked as an answering service operator for first responder services. Anna was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Associates – Lodge #90 and the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary-Post 557.
Anna loved singing in churches, nursing facilities, at home and everywhere. She also enjoyed playing her piano and keyboard. She loved to feed and watch the birds in her yard, especially the hummingbirds. She cherished her family and never missed a family reunion.
Family and friends will be received at Everhart-Bove Funeral home, at 685 Canton, Rd, Wintersville, Ohio on Monday April 24, 2023. Viewing at 10am-1pm, funeral at 1-2pm with Pastor Toby Warner officiating, Burial will follow at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
