Bonnie Penn passed away March 8, 2022 at her daughter’s home in Orrville, Ohio surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 28, 1943 in Hanover Township, Beaver county to the late Odd Brooks Bailey and Priscilla Florence (Angle) Bailey. She was currently living in Bessemer, Alabama but originally was from Wintersville, Ohio. In addition to her parent’s she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Bailey and Robert Bailey.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 52 years, Richard Penn. They spent many years traveling the country, enjoying time together, and making wonderful memories. Daughters, Darlene (Tobi McCoy) Penn and Vicki (Bobby) Mumaw; granddaughters, Mara Mumaw and Hayley Mumaw; sister, Darlene (James) Miller; nieces and nephews.
Bonnie was a Christian and had a true faithful belief in the Lord and showed her loving kindness to everyone she knew. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed on a legacy of love and faithfulness to her family.
She was happiest making crafts, sewing, creating embroidery gifts, and painting. She enjoyed spending time with her dear friend Donna Smith making shirts on her silhouette cameo machine, attending craft shows, and making many wonderful homemade gifts for others.
She was a part of the Women on Mission group at Baptist Church at McAdory in Alabama. She had the opportunity to participate in missions and ministries that enabled her to experience a variety of ways to serve Christ. She loved spending time with her dear friend Sharon Syx and the Diamond Girls every month.
In lieu of flowers, we would like donations made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and/ or the American Cancer Society.
Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Friday from 5-7 PM. Service will follow at 7 PM.
