Cynthia Snider

Cynthia “Cindy” A. Snider, 71, of Toronto went home to be with Jesus on January 14, 2021. 

She was born on March 29, 1949 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late William and Oneita (Harris) Corriston.  

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by mother in-law, Kay Snider and father-in-law, Bob Snider, Sr.; brother-in-law, Bob Snider and sister-in-law, Jane Snider. 

Cindy was a longtime member of the Brentwood United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir for many years.  

She volunteered as a teacher’s aide at Richmond Elementary for six years and helped run the Ohio Reads Program. 

Cindy was a devoted mother to her daughter and dedicated her time to taking care of her. She enjoyed gardening and being outdoors, and she canned extensively every year. 

Cindy is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Gary L. Snider; her daughter and best friend, Sarah Snider of Toronto, OH; brother, William Corriston of Scio, OH; brothers-in-law, Don (Debbie) Snider of Wintersville, Bruce (Connie) Snider of Wintersville, Brent (Karen) Snider of Charleston, SC; sister-in-law, Darlene Snider of Wintersville; many nieces and nephews.  

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brentwood United Methodist Church, 148 Stevens St., Wintersville, OH 43953.
