Donna Jean Blake, 92, of Richmond, Ohio, passed away on November 7, 2022. She was born on January 30, 1930 in New Castle, Pennsylvania, to the late Everett and Alice (Lucas) Black. In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Blake; her grandson, Brent Myers; her grandmother, who raised her, Alyce Boyd Peggs; her son-in-law, Jack Byers; and Robert Hanlin.
She was a lifetime member of the Richmond United Methodist Church, where she was Treasurer. She graduated from Jefferson Union High School in 1946. Donna also served as a clerk for the village of Richmond for 27 years. She was a dental receptionist for Dr. Lou Copeland and also worked as a receptionist at St. John Hospital.
Donna is survived by her children who will always be thankful for her love, John Blake, Ed (Sherrie) Blake, and Todd (Tammy) Blake, Cathy Blake, Wendy (Jack) Byers, and Nancy Jo (Joe Miller) Blake; her aunt, Nancy (Robert) Hanlin; her 16 grandchildren; her 18 great grandchildren; her 2 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Private arrangements are entrusted to the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home.
