Edward Paul McLain, 84, of Richmond, OH, passed away December 27, 2020 at Weirton Medical Center.
He was born August 10, 1936 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Boyd and Victoria (Spinetti) McLain.
In addition to his parents he is preceded by his son, James “Jimmy” Edward McLain and infant brother, Robert James McLain.
He served his country in United States Army.
Edward was a member of the Richmond United Methodist Church and Unionport Masonic Lodge #333,
He retired from Weirton Steel where he worked in the welding shop for 38 years. Edward also retired from Mclain’s Lawn and Garden where he was Co-Owner and from Edison Local where he was a bus driver.
Edward was one of the founders of Richmond EMS. He trained in sports medicine to help at the football games.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia Ann (Buchanan) McLain; son, Robert “Bob” (Karen) McLain; brother, William “Bill” McLain; sister, Ruth Sautebin; and grandchildren, Maxwell Robert and Samuel Edward McLain.
Due to COVID-19, services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be held at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates with full military honors.
