Frances "Fran" Ann Lucas

Frances Ann “Fran” Lucas, 82, of Richmond, Ohio, passed away on October 20, 2023. She was  born on August 13, 1941, in Steubenville, Ohio, to the late Bernard and Mary (Zygmantowski) Nurczyk. In addition to her parents, Fran is preceded in death by her brother, William “Billy” Nurczyk. 

Fran was a member at the St. John Fisher Church for many years. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to go camping and play cards with family and friends. 

She is survived by her husband, Edgar Lucas Sr.; her daughter, Karen (Joe) McNamara of Columbia, TN; her sons, Edgar E. (Paula) Lucas Jr. of Richmond, OH, and Daniel Lucas of Richmond, OH; her brothers, Edward “Edju” Nurczyk of Steubenville, OH, and John Nurczyk of Toronto, OH; her sister-in-law, Vicky Nurczyk; and her grandchildren, Zachary Retzer, Nathan Lucas, Natalie Lucas, Noah Lucas, and Mason Lucas. 

Friends will be received for visitation at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville, Ohio, 43953, on Monday, October 23, 2023, from 2-4 P.M. and 5-7 P.M. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at St. John Fisher, 7457 State Route 152, Richmond, Ohio, 43944, at 11 A.M. with Father McCoy officiating. Entombment will follow at Fort Steuben Burial Estates. A Vigil service will be held at 6:30 PM on Monday.
