George Craig Bly, 60, of Richmond, OH, passed away suddenly Saturday, July 18, 2020 in Steubenville, OH.
He was born July 15, 1960 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Richard C. and Rebecca M. (Davis) Bly.
George graduated from Jefferson Union High School in the class of 1978. After graduation, he went on to join the U.S. Air Force, where he became a flight line jet mechanic and served his country until 1982. While serving, he was stationed in California, where he met his wife, Linda Duran. Together, they had two daughters, Jaid and Jacque Bly.
In addition to his wife and daughters, George is survived by his brothers, Richard Bly of Richmond, OH, Douglas (Julie) Bly of Minerva, OH, James Bly, and Joe Worniak, both of Richmond, OH. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Tyler, Douglas, Danica, and Zackary, two aunts, Sherry Hennis and Diane Lemaster, both of Bloomingdale, OH, one uncle, Edward Davis of Steubenville, OH, and his daughter-at-heart, Samantha Byrd.
Friends will be recieved at Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd. in Wintersville on Wednesday from 6 until time of funeral services at 8 PM with Pastor Bill Westling officiating.
