Iona Jean Cartia, 71, of Amsterdam, Ohio passed away on June 11, 2022. She was born on June 28, 1950 in Dennison, Ohio to the late Willard and Sarah (Dishong) Smith. In addition to her parents, Iona is preceded in death by her brother, Bill Smith. 

She is survived by her son, George Cartia; her daughter, Rickey Welch; her brother, Kenneth Smith; 3 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. 

In honor of Iona’s wishes, there will be no services held at this time.
