Jeri Ann Brooks, 74, of Wintersville and Catawba Island, Ohio, was called home to her Lord on January 16, 2021. She awaits her reunion with many loving family members and lifelong friends who have stayed behind for now.
She was born on January 6, 1947 in Fayetteville, NC, daughter of the late John S Fristick and Violet E (Houchin) Dondzila. She was raised in Wintersville by her parents and alongside her other father, Frank J Dondzila. She was proud to call both men father and throughout her life she happily recalled memories of her involvement in and influences from both loving families.
A truly dedicated Ohio State Buckeye fan her entire life, she also served proudly as an official US Navy Ombudsman, and was honored by her past membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 53 years, Richard "Dick" W Brooks; her two daughters, Shelli Brooks and Jennifer Brooks; her siblings, brother Bruce E. (Toni) Dondzila; brother-in-law Emery "Bus" Edwards along with the memory of her dearly departed sister Cheryl K (Dondzila); brother-in-law, Michael (Missy) Brooks; sister-in-law, Norma Drake; grandchildren, Eric Shifflett and Jensen Brooks; and 3 great grandchildren, Mckailah, Averee, and Gunnar.
Due to the pandemic, a memorial service will be held at a future date.
