Obituary

Leonard C. (Lenny) Dye, 67, of Wintersville, Ohio, passed away on September 8, 2023. He was born on November 19, 1955, in Steubenville, Ohio. The son of the late Robert “Warner” and Lois (Kemp) Dye. In addition to his parents, Lenny is preceded in death by his two brothers, Bruce and Eric Dye.

Lenny was a 1974 graduate of JU High School. He was employed by Wheeling-Pitt Steel as a mechanic. He retired after 35 years of service. He then went on to drive the school bus for the School of Bright Promise. Lenny enjoyed spending time on his farm.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Karen Vandeborne of Wintersville, Ohio; his nephew, Eric Gibson of Columbus, Ohio; his three sisters; and nieces and nephews.

To honor Lenny’s wishes, there will be no services and he will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery in Richmond.
