Linnard Merrill Obituary

Linnard “Snork” Merrill went home to be with his Lord on January 20, 2021 after a short battle with cancer.  Lin served the Lord with all of his heart, mind, and soul.  Lin was an elder at the Lighthouse EP Church in Richmond, OH.  He enjoyed serving at his church in all ways.  Lin retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel after 35 years of service.  He also served his country in The US Army.  Lin graduated from Jefferson Union High School in 1961.   

Lin was a gentle, quiet, soul and would do anything for anyone.  He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and cousin.  His wish is that everyone would know the peace and love of his savior Jesus Christ and to know Him as their personal savior.  Lin will be sadly missed by his wife Nita, son Jeff Merrill and his wife Shawnna, step-daughter Donita Farmer and husband Kevin, step-son Wesley Spencer and wife Kristina, grandchildren: Haiden and Lukka, step-grandchildren: Logan, Madison, Hannah, Kaylee, and Alayna. 

Lin was preceded in death by his first wife Mary, mother Midge Lingo, step-brother John Lingo and sister Thelma.  Living are is half-sisters Margaret, Nancy, Susan, and Sheila. 

Viewing will be Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Lighthouse EP Church in Richmond, OH from 2-4 pm, funeral service will follow at 4pm.  Memorial contributions can be made to Lighthouse EPC Richmond, OH or Mercy Baptist Church Weirton, WV. www.everhart-bovefuneralhomes.com
