Loretta Richardson, 84, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at the Meadows of Cadiz. She was born in New Martinsville, West Virginia, on August 19, 1939, to Walter and Mary Howell Buck Thompson. She and her mom were best friends and loved each other dearly. Now they are together again.
Loretta was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She was a stay-at-home mom and bookkeeper who helped her husband, Charles Richardson, run their carpet business for many years. Loretta had a huge love for dogs. She always had a little dog, usually a chihuahua to love and care for.
In addition to her parents, Loretta is preceded in death by her only sibling, Walter Buck Jr.; her brothers-in-law, Robert and Harry Richardson; her sister-in-law, Evelyn Snider; and her great grandson, James Matthew Jones.
Loretta is survived by her husband, Charles Richardson, for whom she was married to for over 65 years; her children, Roger (Brenda) Richardson of Amsterdam, Ohio, Charlotte (James) Muesegaes of Hohenwald, Tennessee, and David (Misty) Richardson of Lancaster, Ohio; her grandchildren, Roger (Mariela) Richardson Jr., Amelia Bonar, Jonathan (Jessica) Richardson, Michelle (Jon) Jones, Jamie Muesegaes, Justin (Jess) Richardson, Joshua (Cassie) Richardson, and step grandsons, Dillon Lash and Matthew Nitz; and her 14 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received for visitation at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville, Ohio, on Sunday, November 19, 2023, from 6-8 P.M. There will be a visitation hour at the funeral home the following day on November 20, 2023, from 10 A.M. until time of services at 11 A.M. with Robert Main, minister, officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Steuben Burial Estates in Wintersville, Ohio.
