Mark Merrin

Mark Merrin, 72, of Richmond, Ohio passed away August 27, 2023, at UPMC Montifiore. 

He was born on October 24, 1950, in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of the late Norman and Carla Merrin of Amsterdam, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his son Craig Merrin, mother and father Carla and Norman Merrin, brother-in-law Alan Ciacci, sister-in-law Anita Frazee, brother in-law Fred Kowal, brother in-law Anthony Kowal Jr., and father and mother-in-law Anthony and Ethel Kowal. 

He is survived by his wife Mary Ann Merrin who he married June 25, 1984; his daughter Brooke (Ryan) White of California; his granddaughter and light of his life Jordan Mae White; his sisters Debbie (Jim) Booth of Richmond; Cindy Ciacci of Amsterdam; and Noreen (Chas) Miro of Richmond; his sister in-law Pam Haysler.

In addition, his memory lives on with his beloved nieces and nephews Shane Brandon, Tony Haysler, Jami (Doug) Bregenzer, Brandy Kowal, Timmy Haysler, Brittany (Frank) Klinger, Carly Ciacci, and Alexandra Miro. He also leaves behind his dog Toby.

Mark was known for his genuine smile and warm hugs. He loved spending time with his friends at the lake and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He could do anything and strived to do it with perfection. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.

At Mark’s request there will be no formal funeral or ceremony. The family will hold a private celebration of life.
