Mary E. Miller

Mary Ellen Miller, 88, of Bloomingdale, Ohio, passed away on April 19, 2023. She was born on November 22, 1934, in Steubenville, Ohio, to the late Elmer and Nora (Barcus) Miller. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, George R. Miller; father-in-law, Harry Oakley Miller;her 6 siblings; 1 grandchild; 4 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. 

She was a long time concessionaire with popcorn, cotton candy, candy apples, caramel corn, peanuts, and foot long hotdogs. She enjoyed making homemade candy, wedding cakes and was an honored member of the Bloomingdale Fire Dept. Woman’s Auxiliary. Mary was a member of the King Cole CB Club.

Mary was a very loving devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her son, George V. (Trish) Miller; her daughters, Margaret (Tom) Williams, Mary (Mike) Piatt, and Ruth (Chuck) McAfee; her grandchildren, Ronald (Heather) Tatgenhorst, Bridget (Shawan) Howland, Melissa (John) Clark, Beverly Smith, Nicole (Dale) Neff, Trisha (Shaun) Roe, Ashley (Adam) Burke, Shawn (Kara) Piatt, Dustin McAfee, and Tyler McAfee; her 24 great- grandchildren; her 5 great great grandchildren; and her 2 great great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville, Ohio, for visitation on Monday, April 24, 2023, from 6-9 P.M. The funeral service will be held the following day, Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 11 A.M. with Pastor Dean Blythe officiating. Burial will follow at Bloomingdale Cemetery.
