Obituary

Norma Jean Garrison, 91, of Steubenville, passed away on January 2, 2023. She was born on March 14, 1931, in Toronto, Ohio, to the late William and Bertha (McDonald) Bair. In addition to her parents, Norma is preceded in death by her husband, William Reginald Garrison; and her sister, Barbara Ann (Fred) Schaefer. 

Norma worked for the Indian Creek School District for 30 years as the head cook of Wintersville Elementary. She thoroughly enjoyed singing and was a member of an acapella chorale group singing at various events. Norma was a member at the Lovers Lane Church of Christ where she taught bible classes and participated in many ladies group activities. Norma was also a member of the Ohio Valley College Stepping Stones. 

She is survived by her sons, Mark (Cathy) Garrison, Brent (Nancy) Garrison, Dana (Joni) Garrison, and Troy (Kimberly) Garrison; her brother, Robert Edward (Susan) Bair; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

There was an intimate memorial service held at Fort Steuben Burial Estates Chapel on Friday, January 6, 2023, with burial following and Mike Gump as the officiant.
