Robert David “Bob” Ludewig 86, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Valley Hospice, Steubenville. Bob was a 1954 graduate of Steubenville Big Red and was retired from the Steubenville Herald Star and was a part time worker for Sears. He served from 1957-1959 in the US Army assigned to special weapons school in Oberammergau, Germany as inside guard then assigned operations specialist and assistant instructor at Nato school. He was a life member of Disabled American Veterans. Bob served as a deacon at the former First U. P. Church of Steubenville and was a current member of Two Ridges Presbyterian Church.
He was born June 21, 1934 in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of the late Walter and Mildred (Clifford) Ludewig, Sr. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Walter Ludewig Jr.
Bob is survived by his wife of 55 years Pat (Roush) Ludewig; two daughters, Mildred (Scott) McWilliams and Paula (Rod) Maple; six grandchildren, Alec McWilliams, Abby (Jordan) Cowgill, Caitlin McWilliams, Cory, Ryan and Hayden Maple; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Ludewig and Betty Roush; several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Saturday from 12 Noon until time of services at 2pm with Pastor Dr. Bill Lawrence officiating. Burial and military honors will follow at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
