Robert T. “Bob” Morley, 78, of East Springfield passed away at home on September 4, 2022. He was born in Amsterdam, Ohio on October 15, 1943 to the late John and Cleda (Baker) Morley. In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his brother, Ed.
He graduated from Springfield High School and attended Kent State University. He was a machinist and apprentice instructor for Weirton Steel. After his retirement from Weirton Steel, he taught tech prep manufacturing engineering at the Jefferson County JVS.
His real love was deer hunting and fishing, especially deep-sea fishing with his buddies, Jeff and Frank. He enjoyed going to the beach and spending his summers at Gilford Lake sitting on his Nags Head swing watching the boats go by.
Bob is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jan Marlene (Horkey) Morley; his sons, John Morley, Jim (Tammy) Morley, and Thomas Mikesell Jr.; his sister; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; his fur baby, Butchie and many lake friends who were more like family.
Friends will be received for visitation hours at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 285 Second Street, Bergholz, OH on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 4-8 P.M. A service will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Carol Kuryn officiating. Burial will follow at the Bergholz Cemetery.
