Ronald Davis Obituary

Ronald E. Davis 74 of Bloomingdale, Ohio passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Gable Care Center, Hopedale. Ron was born September 28, 1945 in Steubenville, Ohio a son of the late Lloyd Dale and Zelda (Emerick) Davis. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son, Rodney Davis; grandson, Ricky Davis; two brothers, Lloyd and Chuck Davis.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol (Mantos) Davis; three sons, R.J. (Danae) Davis, Rich (Sue) Davis, Roger (Melissa) Davis; daughter, Cassandra (Mike) Murphy; four sisters, Joyce Hitchcock, Diane (John) Arbogast, Donna Beckley, and Tonja Boyce; two sisters-in-law, Linda Davis and Renata Davis; 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons.

Ron was a Veteran of the US Navy and was retired from Weirton Steel. He was the founder and former owner of R. Davis and Sons Heating and Cooling. He was a member of East Springfield Church of the Cross. Ron is an Eagle scout and the first of three generations. He was a member of the old Unionport Knights of Pythias serving in the grand lodge, state of Ohio district deputy. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge Unionport #333 and Hopedale American Legion post 682.

Ron was a former cub master for pack # 192 and scout master for boy scout troop 192 Unionport.   

Services will be held 1 PM Friday at Unionport cemetery with Pastor Sam Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Unionport cemetery.
